Official visit of the Pakistan’s delegation in Parma

Parma, 21st May 2015 - The Incoming Program of foreign Delegations promoted by UNIDO Itpo Italy through its ad hoc platform “Supporting your SMES to Discover EXPO 2015 and Italian Excellences” continues.

A Pakistani Delegation, composed of 4 companies operating in agribusiness (namely dairy industry), handicraft and energy sectors and 2 Officers, Mr. Muhammad Ghumman, Head of the Delegation and Ministry of Industry Vice-Secretary and  Mr. Farid Tarar, Pakistan’s Embassy in Italy  Commercial Attaché, visited the city of Parma yesterday. The visit allowed the Delegation to have an insight of Local Industrial and Productive Excellences and it was made possible thanks to the close collaboration between UNIDO ITPO Italy and PARMAforEXPO representatives.

The Delegation was hosted in the early morning at Palazzo Soragna: Mr. Cesare Azzali, UPI - Unione Parmense degli Industriali Director and Chief of PARMAforEXPO roundtable, gave the welcome to the other attendees, Ms.  Marina Cassano,  Parma University Professor and Mr. Giovanni Baroni, UPI’s Small Companies Delegate. The presentation made to the Delegation aimed to illustrate the Industrial and Productive Excellencies of the territory, with a particular focus on the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Parma and  on cutting-edge sectors of the local economy with their internationally recognized leading companies.

The day continued with B2B meetings and other business activities at Parma’s Chamber of Commerce.  The tour  was concluded with a visit to Bertoli, a world leading company which operates in  the construction of homogenizers and high pressure piston pumps for the food industry.
