EXPO Milano, July 2^nd  2015 - UNIDO ITPO Italy and the Embassy of Cuba in Italy, held a conference aimed at exploring Investment opportunities in Cuba. The event took place at the Orogel conference center at the EXPO Milano, and comes as a result of an official visit from a Cuban Delegation, comprised of representatives of Chambers of Commerce and Cuban entrepreneurs.

The event was attended by more than 50 Italian entrepreneurs, mostly belonging to the sector of agribusiness. The meeting was opened by the Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, Mr. OMAR DE FERNANDEZ JIMENEZ and the Director of International Relations of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba  Ms. CELIA LABORA RODRIGUEZ, who presented the procedures and the new legal framework for investing in Cuba. Thereafter,  the program continued with the interventions from,  Mr. JUAN ANTONIO AZURMENDI HERNANDEZ, the Director of the Company Coralsa, who analyzed the possibilities of trade in the agribusiness sector,  and finally with the intervention of Ms. IVONNE GRASS DELGADO,  President  ITHA. S.A., who presented the potential opportunities in the tourism sector. 

The presentation ended with a visit to the exhibition space reserved for Cuba, located within the Cluster Cocoa and Chocolate at the EXPO.
