Parma, September 19th 2015 – A High Level Ethiopian delegation led by 4 State Ministers - Mr. Mebrahtu Meles, State Minister of Industry; Mr. Dawano Kedir, State Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Kebede Chane, Minister of Trade; and Mrs. Tadelech Dalecho Dando, State Minister of Culture - with a large entrepreneurial and institutional delegation belonging to the agro-industry sector, had the opportunity to visit  Parma and meet local institutions and companies.

The study tour organized by UNIDO Italy in collaboration with Parma for EXPO had the objective to understand the Parma System and to promote business collaboration and partnership between Parma and Ethiopia in order to lay the foundations for future and fruitful collaborations in the agro food sector. 

During the study tour the delegation visited the Rondolfi Group, an example of excellence for the innovation and processing in Italy, and one of the most innovative plant for tomato processing into high quality food products like:  concentrates, pulps, tomato purees, sauces and tomato powders. Afterword, the delegation was hosted at Palazzo Soragna, to participate at the workshop organized by Unione degli Industriali di Parma.

The meeting was introduced by Mr. Cesare Azzali, Head of Unione degli Industriali di Parma, following by the presentations addressed by Mr. Leonardo Cassinelli, Vice-President of the  Chamber of Commerce in Parma and Mr. Erasmo Neviani, Rector Delegate of Parma University Studies for EXPO. A the end Mr. Mebrahtu Meles, State Minister of Industry of Etiophia gave an overview presentation about the Country and presented the investment opportunities for potential Italian counterparts.
