ITPO Italy attended the opening conference of the first edition of IABW- Italia Africa Business Week

Rome, 17 October 2017 - ITPO Italy attended the opening conference of the first edition of the Italia Africa Business Week (IABW), an economic and commercial forum aimed at facilitating the reciprocal knowledge between Italian and African institutional and business stakeholders, held in Rome on 17 and 18 October 2017.

The opening conference titled “For a new dynamic in the business and commercial relations between Africa and Italy”was moderated by Cléophas Adrien Dioma – Director of IABW, and registered the speeches of Mario Giro – Deputy Italian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Cherif Diallo – Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea in Italy, Amani Abou-Zeid – African Union Commissioner for Infrastructure, Energy, ICT and Tourism, Licia Mattioli – Vice-president of Confindustria and Responsible for internationalization and Madi Sakande – General Manager of New Cold System, Italian company managed by a successful entrepreneur from the African diaspora.

The event, which took place over two days, included seminars and networking opportunities, B2B meetings and conferences at the Spazio Eventi Tirso in Rome, under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Confindustria, among others.

The Italia Africa Business Week was the first event of its kind in Italy where African and Italian entrepreneurs could meet and communicate, representing an original forum to develop business opportunities and “economic and human” bridges between Italy and Africa for a common sustainable growth.
