UNIDO ITPO Italy launched the “Italian technologies respond to COVID-19” platform
A dedicated platform to the Italian re-purposing business models and innovative technologies which are promptly supporting the fight against COVID-19
While COVID-19 is undermining health and the socio-economic system, the business sector is playing a fundamental role, providing support with the essential medical products and equipment to manage the emergency effectively.
In this framework, many Italian companies, such as startups, academics and manufactures, have decided to produce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including masks, gowns, gloves and socks for sanitary use, repurposing their activity, production capacity, research and development.
After a process of evaluation of emerging technologies from different Italian regions, UNIDO ITPO Italy has gathered the most innovative on a new platform, launched to promote the efforts of the Italian corporate network in overcoming the pandemic.
With this platform we intend to raise awareness of Italian responses to the current crisis; a unique showcase for the international network in search of innovations and technologies suitable to face a pandemic emergency, facilitating opportunities for industrial and commercial cooperation with international partners, in particular with developing countries interested in acquiring and replicating best practices from the Italian manufacturing sector.
The platform will be regularly updated with new technologies.
