Rome, 14 February 2018 - UNIDO ITPO Italy, the Embassy of Cuba in Italy and AIDDA, on 14 February at the Embassy of Cuba premises, presented the “III International Workshop for Women Entrepreneurs in Cuba”, that will be held on 20-21 April 2018 in Havana City.

The initiative opened with remarks by Emma Liens Morejón and followed with the speech of important personalities such as Maria Claudia Torlasco Cattarini Mastelli, Diana Battaggia, Fabiana Giacomotti, and Florana Menéndez.

During the meeting the speakers highlighted the great improvement by the Republic of Cuba regarding the recognition of the role of women in the society and also the many challenges that Cuba and Latin America still have to cope in order to enhance women’s entrepreneurship, ensure gender-equality and promote sustained economic growth. In this context, in fact, the “III International Workshop for Women Entrepreneurs in Cuba” will be a good opportunity for  women entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals, providing them the appropriate tools to identify and grasp opportunities for work, collaboration and growth.
