Rome, 8 June 2018 - UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in the round table “Measuring sustainability to create value” at Palazzo Valle in Rome, in the framework of the XVII Framework Convention organized for the 60th anniversary of Giovani di Confagricoltura, ANGA, association of young agricultural entrepreneurs adhering to Confagricoltura.

Sustainability and innovation were the topics of the conference, on which UNIDO ITPO Italy operates promoting investments, technology transfer and know-how in the target Countries, with the aim of fostering both sustainable development and economic growth.

In this framework, the Italian Investment and Technology Promotion Office, presented and illustrated its role in supporting sustainable activities in the agribusiness sector of Developing Countries.

The event was an opportunity to discuss the challenges and prospective that the agro-industry sector, which is vital for Developing Countries, presents for the future and has made it possible to raise awareness of UNIDO’s work in this area. A commitment that, it is worth remembering, the Office pursues in line with the sustainable developments goal (SDGs) identified by the UN to be implemented by 2030.
