With the goal of promoting investment opportunities for Italian companies in the environmental technology sector of Kenya, on 9 and 10 December 2020 UNIDO ITPO Italy organized two B2B meetings between Wanergy Africa Limited and two Italian enterprises operative in the field, namely IES Biogas and Termomeccanica Ecologia.

Wanergy Africa Limited is a Kenyan company interested in exploring innovative solutions to be replicated and implemented in the local waste-to-energy section, especially in the field of mixed municipal solid waste.

The two B2B meetings represented a follow-up activity to the technical assistance and support provided by UNIDO ITPO Italy to Wanergy Africa Limited during their participation at the 2020 edition of Ecomondo, titled “Ecomondo and Key Energy Double Digital Green Week” and held online from 3 to 15 November 2020. 

The initiative was organized in the framework of the project “Fostering International Partnership between companies and/or institutions operating in energy and environment sectors”, funded by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
