Within the framework of the project “Tomato Value Chain in Egypt”, implemented by UNIDO and funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, UNIDO ITPO Italy facilitated the participation of Prof. Andrea Sonnino, President of the Italian Association of Graduates in Agriculture (FIDAF) and lecturer of agronomy in different universities, in the Webinar “Agronomic best practices in processed tomato production”.

Mr. Sonnino took part in the webinar delivering a keynote presentation focused on the state-of-the-art of the tomato industry in Italy, from the agronomic point of view to the processing and marketing of the fresh product.

More than 40 Egyptian companies joined the event, involved in the tomato production, processing and export. This was the first webinar of a series planned for the second part of 2021, all of them organized by UNIDO ITPO Italy in collaboration with the project “Tomato Value Chain in Egypt”.
