In the framework of the project “Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sector” (FIPEE), on 1 October 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy hosted a truly interesting and fruitful technical meeting with the Italian company BlueBiloba Srl, the Environment, Forestry and Climate Change Commission (EFCCC) of Ethiopia, and the Ethiopian Environment and Forest Research Institute (EEFRI).

The meeting, facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert and Manager for Ethiopia Ms. Ester Temperato and UNIDO ITPO Italy new Expert in Energy and Environment for Ethiopia Mr. Fasil Abate Hagos, was attended by Mr. Guido Milazzo, CEO of BlueBiloba, Mr. Heiru Sebrala Ahmed, Director, Forest Inventory & Monitoring Directorate of EFCCC, and Dr. Abeye Eshete of EEFRI.

The discussion aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration in the field of precision forestry, from mapping to management, and how to set up an agreement to improve this strategic sector in Ethiopia.
