In the framework of the project "Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors" (FIPEE), funded by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition, on 7th October 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy met with the Ministry of Energy of Kenya to discuss the latest project developments and upcoming activities to be implemented.

During the online meeting, Director of Renewable Energy and ministerial project counterpart Eng. Benson Mlambo Mwakina was informed by UNIDO ITPO Italy’s FIPEE Project Coordinator Ms. Valentina Maltese, Investment Promotion Expert Ms. Ester Temperato, and National Expert for Energy and Environment in Kenya Ms. Faith Okaalet about the latest developments of the FIPEE project with regard to Kenya, including the upcoming study tour on geothermal energy to Italy for a Kenyan delegation, as well as the organization of the participation of a Kenyan business delegation to the 2022 Ecomondo & Key Energy exhibition — which Eng. Mwakina will also be attending, in order to promote further active participation from the Kenyan Ministry of Energy in project activities.
