From 5th to 7th October 2023 UNIDO ITPO Italy assisted an institutional and business delegation from Ethiopia for a study tour in the Italian region of Apulia.

During the study tour, the delegation had the opportunity to visit CIHEAM Bari – the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies in Bari – to learn more about the institute's activities for smart agriculture and water efficiency, with visits to its insectariums and experimental fields, as well as to take part in Agrilevante – the International Exhibition for Machines, Plants and Technologies for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry – to meet local and international exhibitors and visitors to discover sustainable, innovative technologies.

This initiative was part of the project "Fostering International Partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the Energy and Environment sectors" (#FIPEE), funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
