The Ambassador of the Gabonese Republic recognizes ITPO's effort

On June 9^th the Ambassador of the Gabonese Republic in Rome, after the Economic Forum Gabon-Italy organized by UNIDO ITPO Italy, met Head of office Diana Battaggia and her staff on a formal visit to ITPO Italy.

This visit confirms the good relationship between the Gabonese Republic and UNIDO ITPO Italy and it recognizes ITPO’s commitments towards Sub-Saharan Africa development issues. In particular the Ambassador H.E. Charles Essonghè, expressed, during his visit, his gratitude and his general satisfaction for the good results reached by the Economic Forum and further emphasized  his wish to continue to cooperate in synergy with ITPO.

In this context, ITPO head of office Ms. Diana Battaggia has also expressed her wish to carry on with the activities in support of Gabon’s industrial development as well as the necessity to constantly share information in order to identify and promote concrete projects aimed at developing the Gabonese local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

With the purpose to reach this goal UNIDO ITPO Italy, in accordance with the President H.E. Ali Bongo Ondimba and the  Gabonese Ambassador in Italy, wishes a deeper involvement of Italian companies in support of the Gabonese SMEs development.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that Gabon started to diversify its economy. In this context the traditional oil industry is slowly being replaced by new sectors that offer good investment opportunities and that are following the patterns of a Green Gabon, Industrial Gabon, and Gabon of services.
