Massa Martana - Terni, 30-31 January 2014.Within the framework of the Environment and Energy Program in cooperation with the Italian Ministry for the Environment, UNIDO ITPO Italy had the pleasure to support the Ghanaian Delegate Mr. Kwasi Nkansah Baawuah, Officer of the World Trade Center in Accra, during the visit to the Archimede Solar Energy and Risorse Nuove Group plants in Umbria.

The visit follows the bilateral meetings held at the UNIDO ITPO Italy office between the Ghanaian Delegate and the two companies, during which the parties agreed to organize also an on-site visit to the companies’ renewable energy plants.

In particular, on Thursday January 30^th UNIDO ITPO Italy and the Ghanaian Delegate visited the photovoltaic plant of Archimede Solar Energy in Massa Martana, while on Friday January 31^st they visited the biogas plant of Risorse Nuove Group in Terni.

The meetings have been very positive and reiterated the parties intention to develop investment projects in the renewable energy sector in Ghana. UNIDO ITPO Italy, in the framework of its support activity to small and medium enterprises, welcomes the successful outcome of the visits and looks forward to the pursuance of the contacts between the Italian companies and Ghana's companies.
