UNIDO ITPO Italy and WTC Ghanaian Delegate meet Renewable Energy District Regione Puglia

Bari – Cerignola, 5-6 of february 2014. UNIDO ITPO Italy, within its Environment and Energy Programme in collaboration with the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea co-organized the Round Table “Focus Ghana” with the Renewable Energy District of Regione Puglia, in Bari, with the goal to promote investment opportunities of Ghana in the renewable energy and environment sectors.

The Ghanaian Delegate Mr. Kwasi Nkansah Baawuah, Officer of the World Trade Center of Accra, introduced a project portfolio on the energy and environment sector at the presence of the Regional District of Environment and sustainable Recycling (DIPAR), Confapi Puglia and Confindustria Bari as well as of a wide group of entrepreneurs interested in the Ghanaian energy market.

At the conclusion of the Round Table, a company visit to the MDF Energy’s office in Cerignola, Foggia was held. During the visit, Mr. Baawuah had the opportunity to hand touch and have deep insights on the potentials deriving from the solar and wind energy.

The initiative confirms the efforts of UNIDO ITPO Italy to support the development of local small and medium business and to promote the opportunity of investment in Developing Countries. UNIDO ITPO Italy’s mandate aims to encourage an economical and industrial development that is respectful of environmental sustainability.
