Rome, 15-16 February 2016. Mr. Bernardo Calzadilla Sarmiento, the new Director of the Department of Trade, Investment and Innovation (TII), made his first visit to ITPO Italy this week. Together with Lucia Cartini, he introduced the services offered by the new department. The highlight of the mission was the visit of Dr. Peter Failer, Director for International Development Policy of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Dr. Failer was fully briefed on TII activities and on the functions of each ITPO, in order to explore avenues of cooperation between BMZ and UNIDO in the areas of investment promotion and technology transfer.
