One-Belt-One-Road: UNIDO ITPO Italy has led a delegation of the city of Matera

Vienna, 20 October 2016 - In the framework of the initiative One-Belt-One-Road, intended to promote an open and inclusive global economy by building cohesive regional trade networks and enhancing connectivity for future growth, UNIDO ITPO Italy has led to UNIDO’s headquarters in Vienna a delegation of the city of Matera, represented by Ms. Francesca Cancelli, member of the city municipal committee and responsible for building, urban renovation and housing. In this international forum the city of Matera, well known for its historical center considered World Heritage Site by UNESCO, has presented its plans to further develop the city and increase its international involvement.

The One-Belt-One-Road initiative will serve as an effective platform for cooperation among all nations involved, offering increased opportunities for inclusive and sustainable industrial development via the modality of South-South and triangular cooperation.
