Rimini, November 5th - 6th 2015 – As part of the programme of meetings scheduled for November, Dr. Ryan Evangelista, Philippine delegate and representative of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), had the opportunity to participate in Ecomondo 2015, the most comprehensive platform in the Euro – Mediterranean area on advanced technological solutions in the field of green economy.

The delegate, who is seeking renewable energy solutions for the Philippine islands, had the chance to meet Italian manufacturers of photovoltaic, wind, hydro, biomass and hybrid plants. They discussed about several forms of partnerships with potential local counterparts in the Philippines, from distribution deals to joint-ventures.

Dr. Evangelista is willing to welcome the Italian counterparts in Manila in order to arrange meetings with potential local partners. Moreover, as for larger projects, he showed his availability to engage meetings between Italian companies and governmental or regional entities.

The visit continued in Cesena where, thanks to Macfrut collaboration, the delegate participated in a study tour on fruits and vegetables processing sector. Dr. Evangelista was introduced to three enterprises: the first one involved in packaging sector, the second in seeds production, and a cooperative of fruits and vegetables distributors. Due to their interest in the Philippines market, the delegate showed his availability to welcome the companies in Manila in order to facilitate the meetings with local distributors.

The tour ended with the presentation of Macfrut 2016, event to which the delegate is invited to participate with a business delegation or a Country booth. Moreover, Valentina Pieraccini, head of Macfrut foreign office, expressed interest for a potential business mission to the Philippines.

These meetings have paved the way to strengthen the relations between Italian entrepreneurs and the Philippines, in order to develop profitable future partnerships.
